One of the objectives of Costa d’Oro S.p.A. is to ensure that consumers receive the best quality Olive Oil possible. As a result we have created our own philosophy in order to ascertain the most important aspects of what a good Olive Oil contains.
Our quality
The quality of olive oil is not just bound to raw material (in this case the olive), but to all of the factors that take that olive from its original state and transform it into oil. These factors encompass everything from the production process to commercialization. Every sector must abide by our Quality Manual, which is altered each year in an effort to raise our own index of quality even more.
Choosing the quality is, for Costa d’Oro, a job that was created for a variety of reasons:

Authenticity is another important standard we work to uphold here at Costa d’Oro. Other olive oil companies consider it to be normal for their products to contain chemical additives. We at Costa d’Oro however adhere to legal standards as outlined in and change our production process each time there is a change in standards.
What do we Control?
- Chemical-Bromatological parameters show the acidity, oxidation, composition of the fatty acids and other elements that demonstrate in a predominant capacity, the quality and the authenticity of the oil;
- Bio-Nutritional parameters check the relationship between the fatty acids and the anti-oxidant patrimony in the oil. Polyphenol and Tocophenol are important in the eyes of medical experts and doctors for their positive action on the health of the human organism (go to "nutritional elements");
- Hygienic-Health parameters to ensure that we are in accordance with the guidelines established by the H.A.C.C.P. Certification, for the controlled absence of mold, yeast, fungus, solvents, metals and foreign bodies
- Psycho-Sensorial parameters: our professional taste teams sample the oil to ensure our high standards for flavor and quality.
