Costa d’Oro supplier charter
10 key points to respect the quality of our products.
Olive oil suppliers have to endorse the 10 items of “COSTA D’ORO SUPPLIER CHARTER”
(“CARTA DEL FORNITORE COSTA D’ORO”), by accepting and supporting agreed good agricultural practices, such as pressing olives as fast as possible – that is, ideally within 24 hours since they are taken to the olive oil mill.
Moreover, Costa d’Oro runs random checks in the fields, at olive oil mills and in storage warehouses.

We exclusively use olives harvested in the Mediterranean basin to ensure traceability from the supplier to the batch of extra-virgin olive oil.

We purchase olives from producers who use phytosanitary products that comply with current European and local regulations.

We only collect perfectly healthy olives according to traditional harvesting practices that are environmentally friendly.

We process the olives within 24 hours of harvesting to ensure maximum freshness and quality of the oil.

Our oil is extracted only through mechanical processes at temperatures below 27°C to preserve the aroma, taste, and nutritional properties of the oil.

Create blends with ONLY extra virgin olive oils.

Use only tanks dedicated to the transportation of clean food-grade liquids according to the Costa d'Oro procedures for shipping the oil from the mill. The tank must be suitable for loading with a washing certificate, and the transported goods in the last 4 trips must be indicated.

Implement a risk analysis at each stage to ensure the food safety of the extra virgin olive oil.

The mill works to manage the production environment in a way that does not contaminate the olives and oils with chemicals.
